Sanctions against asbestos licence holders

The Office of Industrial Relations actively enforces the requirement for persons holding an Authorisation to remove licenced quantities of asbestos and asbestos containing materials under the Work Health and Safety Regulation 2011, to carry out the work safely and competently.

When evidence indicates the work authorised by the licence has not been carried out safely and competently, the licence can be conditioned, suspended, cancelled or a warning letter (collectively known as Licence Sanctions) sent.

Below is a list of successful Licence Sanction summaries. Details that would identify the licensee have been removed from the summaries.  However, successful sanctions have been notated against the relevant licensee as part of the list of licenced asbestos removalists found at: https://www.worksafe.qld.gov.au/injury-prevention-safety/asbestos/asbestos-removal-and-licensing/which-businesses-are-licensed-to-remove-asbestos-in-queensland
