Asbestos Awareness Month – November 2015

November is Asbestos Awareness Month and raises awareness of the need to handle asbestos safely during home renovations and maintenance.

All homeowners, renovators and tradies need to be aware of the risks when disturbing asbestos materials and to avoid exposing themselves, their families or their customers to airborne asbestos fibres.

Throughout the month there will be displays, activities and events across Queensland to help raise awareness about asbestos including demonstrations from Workplace Health and Safety Queensland inspectors on how to work safely with asbestos material.
