8.1 Scope

This section is drawn up for agricultural workers working near exposed live arts such as overhead electric lines. Examples of such work include:

• handling irrigation pipes under or near an overhead electric line;
• the use of lifting or elevating plant or equipment such as grain augers, hay bale elevators, travelling irrigators or harvesters near or under an overhead electric line; or
• any other work that involves the risk of a person or anything attached to or held by a person, coming into contact with overhead electric lines.
