Ministerial notices

If the Minister identifies circumstances of electrical risk to persons or property and considers these circumstances require urgent action, a ministerial notice can be issued.

The ministerial notice prescribes a way to discharge a person's electrical safety obligations in a particular circumstance. However the ministerial notice does not prescribe all of the things a person must do to discharge their electrical safety obligations in relation to the electrical risk covered in the ministerial notice.

The ministerial notice is valid for one year from the day it is notified in the gazette.
