V900 Cordless Telephone – AC Adaptor Unit
Identification
The recall covers the following specifications:
Model: S6.5VDC 150/9VAC150/1B
Input Voltage: 230-240V A.C. 50Hz 40nA
Output Voltage: 6.5V D.C. 150mA 9V A.C. 150mA
The affected AC adaptors are connected to the V900 Telstra Twin Cordless telephone main base station and are marked TE0606 and TE0706.
The phones and AC Adaptor unit were distributed through a Telstra promotional campaign after 1st July 2006.
Safety issue
It is possible that the AC Adaptor unit’s plastic casing may break. If breakage occurs while the adaptor is connected to power, an electric shock may result.
Action required
Customers are advised to switch off the AC power adaptor at the power point and disconnect it to check the TE number. If the AC power adaptor is either model TE0606 or TE0706, do not reconnect it.
