Electrical product safety recall
Identification
The units are used in notebook computers supplied between 1 April 2004 and July 18 2006.
Affected battery packs are found in Dell laptop computer models:
- Latitude D410, D500, D505, D510, D520, D600, D610, D620, D800, and D810
- Precision M20, M60, M70, and M90 mobile workstations
- Inspiron 500M, 510M, 600M, 700M, 710M, 6000, 6400, 8500, 8600, 9100, 9200, 9300, 9400, E1505 and E1705
- XPS, XPS Gen 2, XPS M170, and XPS M1710.
Safety issue
There is a risk that the batteries may overheat, posing a risk of fire.
Action required
Consumers should contact Dell to determine if they have an affected battery by:
