Ziton fire detectors, fire panels and evacuation systems
Electrical product safety recall
Identification
Under the brand names of Ziton Australia, SPX Australia, GE Infrastructure Security Pty Ltd
the following items and models have been recalled:
- Fire panels AS2 and AS3
- Detectors ZP710-2, ZP725-2, Z620-722-1
- Duct probes X3200, X3210
- EWIS evacuation system
Safety issue
Certain deficiencies have been identified in Ziton products which may result in a failure to detect all fire hazards in certain circumstances.
Action required
GE Infrastructure Security will contact all customers in Australia and New Zealand . Customers who have not received notifications should contact GE Infrastructure Security Pty Ltd on (03) 9259 4700.
GE Infrastructure Security will provide modifications for Ziton products purchased after 17 October 2003. These modifications may not be effective for Ziton products purchased before this date.
