As a person in control of electrical equipment

Section 38 of the Electrical Safety Act 2002 (PDF, 788 KB) covers persons in control of electrical equipment. You must ensure the electrical equipment is electrically safe.

This does not apply if the electrical equipment:

• is located at the person's home; or
• forms part of the works of an electricity entity.
