About accredited auditors
There are three types of accredited auditor:
- installation and safety management systems;
- Hazardous area installations;
- High voltage customer's installation.
If you are successful in your application, you must comply with the conditions of office, including, but not limited to:

- testing work for compliance with national standards;
- not auditing your own work; and
- reporting findings of an audit to the installations' owner/occupier and, when requested, to the Department of Justice and Attorney-General.
To apply for appointment as an accredited auditor in any of the three types, you need to complete the auditor application form (PDF, 132KB).
Be aware that it may take at least eight weeks for your application to be processed.
