Queenslanders Working Together
The Queenslanders Working Together (QWT) program is part of the federally funded Australians Working Together (non-Queensland Government link) program, and is administered by the Department of Employment and Industrial Relations under its Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative.
The program complements many of the components of this initiative as it also has an emphasis on raising the job competitiveness of people looking for employment, and maintains the government's commitment to helping the most disadvantaged jobseekers.
QWT focusses on increasing access to accredited vocational education and training and a mix of other measures aimed at helping parental and mature age jobseekers improve their prospects of gaining employment and reducing their dependence on welfare. Training offered should be at Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) Level I to Level III.
