Private Employment Agents (Code of Conduct) Regulation 2005
The Code of Conduct commenced on 29 April 2005 and covers issues such as:
- general responsibilities of agents including responsibilities to work seekers (Part 2, Division 2)
- fee charging restrictions (Part 2, Division 3)
- registers to be kept by agents and correspondence (Part 2, Division 4)
- particular rules of conduct for dealings with models and performers (Part 3)
As from 27 April 2005, Private Employment Agents in Queensland are no longer required to hold a licence but must comply with the new Private Employment Agents (Code of Conduct) Regulation 2005 (PDF, 358 KB).
An important requirement of the Code is that an agent must give each work seeker an information statement regarding the agent's obligations to the work seeker and the work seeker's rights.
There are two versions of the information statements which all work seekers must complete. The one which applies to you depends on the type of work you are seeking:
- Information statement for work seekers (for models and performers) (PDF, 104 KB)
- Information statement for work seekers (other than for models and performers) (PDF, 95 KB)
