Child Employment Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2006
The Child Employment Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2006 (PDF, 252 KB) is effective from 1 January 2007 and extends the protection of the existing child employment laws to children and young workers employed in the entertainment industry.
In particular, the amendment:
- defines work in the entertainment industry
- specifies restrictions on the age, hours of work and other conditions of employment
- extends the obligations of employers to cater for the unique needs of the entertainment industry.
