Joint State and Territory submission to the Senate Inquiry
The governments of Queensland, New South Wales, Western Australia, South Australia, Tasmania, the Australian Capital Territory and the Northern Territory have filed a joint submission to the Senate Inquiry into the Workplace Relations Amendment (Work Choices) Bill 2005.
The main arguments in this submission are:
- the Bill is unconstitutional
- the Bill will increase cost and complexity, especially for small business
- the economic justification for the change is unfounded
- the Bill will result in unfair outcomes, particularly for vulnerable workers.
