Summary

Jason Cosgrove trading as Mildawn Manufacturing being an employer under the Industrial Relations Act 1999 (PDF, 1.9MB), operated a business at Loganholme that manufactured kitchen units. He employed a person as a sander and general hand but did not pay the correct rate of pay as prescribed by the Furniture and Allied Trades Award State 2006.

At the Beenleigh Industrial Magistrates Court, on 6 February 2009 he was ordered to pay $7,885.17 wages and $2,855.42 for annual and pro rata annual leave.

Cosgrove was also found guilty of contravening an industrial instrument by not keeping time and wage records as required by the above mentioned award.
