Ward, Christopher Eric
Christopher Eric Ward, being an employer under the Industrial Relations Act 1999 (PDF, 1.9 MB) , was prosecuted for failing to pay wages as required by the Act.
The employer, who operated a trolley collection service at Kenmore Village Shopping Centre, did not pay an employee working under the Retail Industry Award - State 2004 for the last week of his employment.
The matter was heard on 7 May 2009 in the Brisbane Industrial Magistrates Court before Industrial Magistrate Mr Graham Lee who fined the employer $5000 and order him to pay $259.52 to the employee.
