Licences required under legislation
There are potential risks associated with working in a workplace.
The Department of Justice and Attorney-General requires under legislation that the correct training be undertaken in order to obtain a licence.
Licences can also be known as certificates or certificates of authority.
A licence is required if you plan to:
- perform electrical work
- undertake electrical contractor work
- undertake construction work or enter a construction workplace (blue card)
- provide and conduct training as a registered training organisation
- become a workplace health and safety officer (WHSO)
- operate certain plant and equipment for a prescribed occupation which includes:
