How the legislation works

The Workers’ Compensation and Rehabilitation Act 2003 (PDF, 1.6 MB) - the Act - in conjunction with the Workers’ Compensation and Rehabilitation Regulation 2003 (PDF, 692 KB) - the Regulation - provides a framework for managing workers' compensation and rehabilitation in Queensland.

Together, they establish a workers' compensation scheme for Queensland, set out the laws for workers' compensation and rehabilitation, and for managing insurance, compensation, rehabilitation, damages and costs.
