Workplace Health and Safety Queensland is holding state-wide workshops at Lutwyche, Mt Gravatt, Toowoomba, Townsville and Rockhampton for employers and managers of young workers in the retail industry Young workers are often at a higher risk of injury than older workers because of their limited work experience, risk taking behaviour, and ongoing physical, social, emotional and intellectual development. In Queensland the retail industry employs more young workers than any other sector. These workshops will improve employers' and managers' understanding of their young workers and how they function. |
