The Dive Safety Awards encourage recreational diving and snorkelling operators to review their diver rescue procedures and conduct regular rescue drills.
Queensland recreational diving and snorkelling operators were required to submit a short video of a drill in action as a part of their normal safety practices.
Videos provided were judged on the effectiveness and efficiency of the rescue and first aid procedures shown.
