Memorandum of understanding: Safety in the rail industry (PDF, 4.12 MB)

The MOU principally sets out the roles and responsibilities of Workplace Health and Safety Queensland, the Electrical Safety Office and the Rail Safety Unit with regard to safety in the rail industry. This includes the investigation of serious rail incidents, information sharing, compliance and enforcement and the development of policy.

The MOU principally sets out the roles and responsibilities of Workplace Health and Safety Queensland, the Electrical Safety Office and Maritime Safety Queensland with regard to safety on ships. This includes the investigation of serious marine incidents, information sharing, compliance and enforcement and the development of policy.

The MOU principally sets out the roles and responsibilities of Workplace Health and Safety Queensland, the Electrical Safety Office and the Mines Safety and Health Division to help facilitate cooperation and clarity of jurisdiction between these agencies. This includes investigation management, information sharing and compliance and enforcement.

Memorandum of understanding: Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian and Department of Justice and Attorney-General (PDF, 424 kB)

The MOU establishes administrative practices for the sharing of relevant information about a fatality or the serious injury of a child in Queensland between the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian, Workplace Health and Safety Queensland and the Electrical Safety Office.

The MOU principally sets out the roles and responsibilities of Workplace Health and Safety Queensland and office of the Department of Justice and Attorney-General, the Department of Employment, Economic Development and Innovation and Queensland Health to help facilitate communication, cooperation and clarity of jurisdiction between these agencies for the management of threats to human or animal health arising from zoonoses. This includes roles and responsibilities, incident notification, information sharing, provision of advice and assistance and policy development.

Memorandum of understanding: Queensland Police Service and the Department of Justice and Attorney-General (PDF, 9 MB)

The MOU clarifies the specific working arrangements between the Queensland Police Service, Workplace Health and Safety Queensland and the Electrical Safety Office in relation to the reporting and investigation of, and attendance at, workplace incidents and electrical incidents. It provides specific information on the respective roles, responsibilities and obligations of officers from these agencies.

Memorandum of Understanding: Department of Justice and Attorney-General and Australian Maritime Safety Authority (PDF, 3 MB)

The MOU sets out the roles and responsibilities of Workplace Health and Safety Queensland and the Australian Maritime Safety Authority for safety in and around Queensland maritime workplaces. It sets out the guidelines under which these agencies will respond to health and safety issues on ships and wharves in Queensland. It also seeks to clarify who has jurisdiction in different circumstances and provides for mechanisms for determining responsibility where this may be unclear.
