National compliance and enforcement policy

The following information is published to provide industry with an overview of the changes to work health and safety laws.

The new work health and safety laws will be supported by a national compliance and enforcement policy to assist workplace health and safety regulators to adopt a consistent enforcement approach that is effective (in terms of reducing the incidence of work related injury and disease) and efficient in achieving compliance while also maintaining community confidence that the laws are being administered fairly and consistently.
