Brochure
A brochure/poster increases awareness of an activity, promotes an event or highlights key messages.

Case study
A case study is using a real life situation to analyse a particular workplace problem and provide solutions to manage any associated risks.

Checklist
A checklist is a step-by-step process to assist you to identify and manage workplace risks.

Code of practice
A code of practice provides practical advice about ways to manage exposure to workplace risks in certain industries. The advice must be followed or another way adopted that identifies and manages the exposure.

Enforceable undertaking
An enforceable undertaking is a legal agreement which requires an organisation to carry out specific activities to improve worker health and safety plus deliver benefits to industry and the broader community.

Fact sheet
A fact sheet outlines a practical solution/s to a specific workplace problem and the risks associated with it.

Form
A form is used to apply for or renew a licence or certificate, to record a workplace breach or notify WHSQ of an incident in the workplace. They can be in hard copy, downloaded or submitted online.

Guide
A guide provides comprehensive information and advice about particular topics and ways to eliminate or reduce the associated risks.

Handbook
A handbook provides a thorough look at a topic and its associated risks and hazards, and includes detailed information about improving health and safety and implementing control measures.

Health and safety solution
Practical information on how to solve or improve a common problem in the workplace.

Newsletter
A newsletter provides industry and the general community with regular information about latest news, industry insights, health and safety hot spots and other activities relating to health and safety.

Non-English publication
A non-English publication ensures all industry/community members have access to health and safety information to help them identify and manage risks in their workplaces.

Presentation
A presentation on a specific workplace health and safety issue or topic used by a presenter to discuss with the audience/attendees at a workshop or information session.

Report
A report documents outcomes of an audit campaign or research into a particular topic. It includes information and advice about particular issues observed through a targeted audit or research campaign.

Safety alert
An alert provides background information about an unsafe work practice/item and any related incidents, and outlines control measures.

Strategy
A strategy outlines a range of tactics to help meet set targets as a step towards achieving workplaces free from death, injury and disease in Queensland.

Survey
Current surveys seek public responses to key issues or feedback about various campaigns and initiatives.

Unit of competency
A unit of competency specifies the knowledge and skills, and the application of that knowledge and skills, to the standard of performance expected in the workplace when operating machinery or doing certain work.
