Free on-property workshops

Workplace Health and Safety Queensland and Farmsafe Queensland have joined forces to offer the rural industry free, on-property workshops where safety advisers will come directly to a group of producers on a host property to discuss health and safety issues. Producers attending these
workshops will:

• gain new skills and understanding of what they need to do to manage safety
• learn how to access and reduce risk
• get resources to make implementing safe work practices easier
• receive information in a staged manner that acknowledges both the work demands on their time and the safety management practices to be covered
• network with local producers
• receive a tool to benchmark their progress towards creating a safe workplace
• receive follow-up support with implementation of the practices back on their properties.
