Free workshops to boost the health and safety of workers in small businesses are being rolled out in Brisbane, Ipswich, the Gold Coast and some regional centres, including Cairns, Townsville, and Toowoomba.
The workshops give business owners and managers ideas and systems which they can put in place to make their workplaces healthier and safer. They help ensure businesses have access to the latest and best safety tips and are better equipped to manage health and safety in their workplace.
The most common causes of injuries in the workplace are slips, trips, falls and inappropriate or excessive lifting - types of injuries that can easily be prevented by implementing appropriate workplace health and safety practices.
The workshops, which have limited positions still available, give employers a chance to talk one-on-one with Workplace Health and Safety Queensland experts to identify areas where they can improve their workplace health and safety.
