As part of a campaign to reduce the injuries occurring in Queensland workplaces, Workplace Health and Safety Queensland (WHSQ) is offering free Managing for Safety workshops statewide.
The workshops aim to highlight to attendees that health and safety does not have to be difficult and to break this myth. If proper systems are in place, it can be quite simple and good for business including:
The workshops are for businesses that want to improve their management of workers' health and safety and:
The workshops are not suitable for large businesses or for businesses with well developed workplace health and safety systems. WHSQ is developing an advanced course which will contain tools, templates and examples that will assist people that already have the basic systems in place.
The advanced workshops will run after July 2009.
