Workplace Health and Safety Queensland will engage with, and educate delegates from a wide range of industries throughout Queensland during the 17th annual Occupational Health and Safety Conference.
The conference, hosted by the Safety Institute of Australia (Queensland/Northern Territory Division) will take place at Jupiters Townsville from 21 - 23 October 2009.
Workplace Health and Safety Queensland is the major sponsor of the forum which showcases best practice in the health and safety industry and attracts over 250 delegates from both public and private sectors including workplace health and safety practitioners, professionals and researchers.
The conference will explore a range of health and safety issues, share the latest developments in knowledge and research, and in particular will focus on achieving the national Occupational Health and Safety priorities outlined by Safe Work Australia (formerly known as the Australian Safety and Compensation Council).
Delegates will have the chance to listen to expert speakers, view industry papers and presentations on current OHS issues, participate in interactive workshops and site visits as well as meeting and networking with other health and safety professionals.
