Standards of control
The Australian standard AS/NZS 3666 Air-handling and water systems of buildings - Microbial control sets out minimum requirements for the design, installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance of air conditioning and water systems in buildings to assist in the control of micro-organisms such as Legionella bacteria.
Sample control strategies from AS.3666 are available as recommended procedures for controlling HCC or Legionella concentrations in the reticulating waters of cooling towers.
