Licence classes

The introduction of renewable and photographic licences over the five years from 1 July 2008 effects licence classes that fall under a national standard, other licences are not being transitioned.

If you hold a licence from the list below it will be transitioned to a renewable and photographic licence. This will happen over 5 years from 1 July 2008, depending on the date of the last class added to the licence (see the schedule for transitioning)

DG	Dogger
ES	Reciprocating steam engine – piston diameter more than 250 mm
HM	Materials hoist with cantilever platform
HP	Materials or personnel hoist
LF	Forklift truck – not pedestrian operated
LO	Order picking forklift truck
PB	Truck concrete placing boom
RA	Advanced rigger
RB	Basic rigger
RI	Intermediate rigger
SA	Advanced scaffolder
SB	Basic scaffolder
SI	Intermediate scaffolder
TO	Turbine with power output of 500 kW or more
WP	Work platform (boom 11 m or more)
CS	Self erecting tower crane

When you are contacted to transition your licence depends on the date of the last class added to the licence:

If you hold a licence from the list below it will not be transitioned to a renewable and photographic licence.
