Heath Brew
Hon. Cameron Dick MP
Did you know that 30 October 2009 was national Injury Free Day? One day where we strived for not one single incident at work.
Heath Brew is one worker whose life was changed forever when he survived the Longford gas explosion. As a survivor, Heath reinforces the importance of workplace safety and systems while providing an unforgettable insight into the incident itself. He will share the roller coaster ride that follows a serious injury and why it so important that the whole community gets behind workplace health and safety.
As part of Safe Work Australia Week (25 - 31 October 2009) activities, Injury Free Day was launched in Brisbane on 23 October 2009 at 'The Gabba' cricket ground.
Injury Free Day is a national safety awareness campaign, run by the injury prevention charity KIDS Foundation that promotes the importance of injury prevention in the workplace and community. The day linked businesses, schools and the general community in a day of action dedicated to safety.
