Workplace Health and Safety Queensland's (WHSQ) Spin those wheels is a campaign encouraging Queenslanders to dust off their bikes and ride to work as part of National Ride to Work Day (14 October). WHSQ is also encouraging budding riders to take up the extra challenge to continue riding up to and during Safe Work Australia Week (25 - 31 October 2009).

Whether you are an experienced rider or just starting out, cycling is a fun, convenient, healthy, cheap, and environmentally friendly form of transport.

End-of-trip facilities

Check out the end-of-trip facilities at your workplace. They are designed to make riding to work easier and a more pleasurable one with many providing bike parking, shower and locker facilities.

Workplace Health and Safety Queensland encourages employers to consider providing end-of-trip facilities to help support a healthy cycling culture in their workplace. Cycling can help a workplace be more productive and healthy, while also supporting the environment.
