Workplace Health and Safety Queensland offered builders in the construction industry a fantastic opportunity to network and hear the inspirational story of Dan Stains, a former Queensland State of Origin and Australian representative rugby league football player, on his approach to health and safety and the importance of coming home safely.
Also joining Dan Stains, were Sean King, Workplace Health and Safety and Environment Manager from Master Builders Queensland, Shane McHardie, Workplace Health and Safety Officer of RGD Constructions (a recipient of a Master Builders Queensland Innovation in Workplace Health & Safety award for The Edge Lake Kawana in 2009) and Daniel Vercoe, Senior Advisor from the Department of Transport and Main Roads who will speak on their road worker safety campaign.
