Managing for Safety - Getting started
The Managing for safety - Getting started workshop is designed to give participants a basic introduction to a simple safety management system process by introducing the Serious About Safe Business package and framework that businesses can easily implement.
Workshop duration: 3 hours (free).
Topics covered in this practical, interactive course include:
- Management commitment to safety
- The value and importance of workplace consultation
- Developing and implementing safe work procedures
- Training and supervision of workers and others
- Reporting a range of safety issues
- Workers compensation and return to work processes
- Self assessing your business
- Legislation and hazards that apply to your workplace.
Reserve your spot from the times and locations listed below. Numbers are limited at each location to allow personal contact with a small business advisor to discuss your workplace health and safety issues.
If a workshop is fully booked, you can still register your interest so that we can contact you if any further workshops are organised for your area, or if there is a cancellation.
These workshops are NOT suitable for large businesses or businesses with well developed health and safety systems in place already.
