Free small and medium sized business workshops

Workplace Health and Safety Queensland offers small to medium sized businesses three different types of free workshops.

The workshops will:

help improve workplace safety and productivity, while reducing workplace injuries and their associated costs.
help you to check whether you are meeting your workplace health and safety requirements.
provide you with skills, practical examples and solutions to manage risks in your workplace.

Who should attend?

Owners, managers and supervisors with health and safety responsibilities, workplace health and safety officers and representatives, and health and safety professionals.

Select a workshop that suits your business before choosing a venue and time. Numbers are limited to between15-20 (less in some locations), to maximise personal interaction with the facilitator. Make sure you register today to reserve your spot.

Managing for safety - Getting started
Workshop length: 3 hours FREE workshops to assist workplaces just starting their health and safety journey. They are not suitable for large workplaces or those with established safety systems. Managing for safety - Getting started

Workshop length: 3 hours

FREE workshops to assist workplaces just starting their health and safety journey.

They are not suitable for large workplaces or those with established safety systems.

Managing for Safety - Tools and techniques
Workshop length: 5 hours Workshop provides additional tools, templates and techniques for managing health and safety in your workplaces. You must have either: attended the 'Getting started' course, or have some established safety management systems in place at your workplace already. This course is currently free only until December 2009. What you will get from the course: Develop skills to assess the content of existing health and safety systems WHS tools, templates, and techniques that are easy to use and implement How to build a customised system specific to your workplace’s needs.
