What is a workplace health and safety workplace consultation?
Small Business Advisors are available to provide free workplace consultations of up to three hours. As part of their consultation, the advisors will:
- look at the health and safety issues and risks at your workplace
- prioritise issues according to seriousness
- provide information on the types of solutions available to control your risks
- work with you to develop an action plan to reduce health and safety risks
A written copy of the action plan will be sent to you after the consultation.
Is a workplace consultation the same as an inspection?
A workplace consultation is not the same as an inspection. Workplace Health and Safety Queensland's advisory and enforcement activities are entirely separate.
Small Business Advisors are not inspectors. Their job is to provide information and advice to help small businesses.
