There are separate judging panels for each of the award categories. The judging panels consist of representatives from Workplace Health and Safety Queensland, business, industry, unions and the public sector.
The panels will assess the entries over a three-stage process involving:
Inspection reports will be used by the judging panels to select the winning entries. On-site inspections of short-listed entries will be conducted by a Workplace Health and Safety Queensland inspector from the local area. If specialist/technical staff are required and not located in the local area, alternate arrangements will be made and may include video conferencing and other audit processes.
The winners will be announced on Wednesday 26 October 2011 during Safe Work Week.
Winners of the Queensland Safe Work Awards are automatically entered into the national Safe Work Australia Awards.*
