Building Rectification Services
Building Rectification Services was established in 1985 and is a specialist in all fields of remedial construction.
The company identified many work-at-heights issues, in particular swing stage operations and management. To address these issues Building Rectification Services has developed and implemented a Swing Stage Safety Management Plan, which incorporates:
- exceeding regulatory specifications by always having a back up or secondary system (safety/rescue line)
- employment of independent risk assessors
- employment of independent structural engineers
- working closely with regulatory authorities, including Workplace Health and Safety Queensland
- employing qualified manufacturers
- in-house training
- recognised certification and training
- application of dot point style check list, including a comprehensive site folder, and
- site auditing, including spot audits by independent risk assessors and Queensland Workplace Health and Safety Inspectors.
Warren Christensen, Director of Building Rectification Services, states that the company has an ongoing commitment to workplace health and safety with a "positive safety" philosophy being central to all projects. He believes that a zero harm team mindset is essential when undertaking all projects and the Swing Stage Safety Management Plan demonstrates a continually improving commitment.
