Submit an application
An application for registrable plant design must be submitted on the approved form (Form 14 - Application for registration of registrable plant design (PDF, 128 kB) for:
- a new plant design
- plant that has had the design modified.
The same registration process applies whether it is for a new plant design or whether it is a modification to an existing plant design.
To ensure that your application is processed and registered as quickly as possible ensure:
- Form 14 - Application for registration of registrable plant design has been fully completed.
- The referenced drawings and any additional supporting documents are attached.
- The application is submitted electronically in pdf format and emailed to: designregistrationapplications@justice.qld.gov.au.
- Payment of $93.00 has been made.
- Design verification statement of form 14 has been completed by the design verifier.
Payment options
Payment of the application fee of $93.00 must be made when lodging the application with the Department of Justice and Attorney-General otherwise applications will not be processed. GST does not apply to this fee.
Three options of payment are available:
- Credit card details can be provided via fax authorisation to (07) 3247 0250.

Please note
- Diners Club is not accepted.
- No invoices will be issued.
- Ring Workplace Health and Safety Queensland on 1300 369 915 and ask to be transferred to the Technology Services Unit to provide credit card details over the phone.
- Cheques should be made payable to Department of Justice and Attorney-General and mailed to:

If mailing a cheque, reference should be made to:
- the applicant's name
- description of plant
- the model number (if possible).
