Submit an application

An application for registrable plant design must be submitted on the approved form (Form 14 - Application for registration of registrable plant design (PDF, 128 kB) for:

• a new plant design
• plant that has had the design modified.

The same registration process applies whether it is for a new plant design or whether it is a modification to an existing plant design.

To ensure that your application is processed and registered as quickly as possible ensure:

1. Form 14 - Application for registration of registrable plant design has been fully completed.
2. The referenced drawings and any additional supporting documents are attached.
3. The application is submitted electronically in pdf format and emailed to: designregistrationapplications@justice.qld.gov.au.
4. Payment of $93.00 has been made.
5. Design verification statement of form 14 has been completed by the design verifier.

Payment options

Payment of the application fee of $93.00 must be made when lodging the application with the Department of Justice and Attorney-General otherwise applications will not be processed. GST does not apply to this fee.

Three options of payment are available:

1. Credit card details can be provided via fax authorisation to (07) 3247 0250.
   

   Accepted credit cards

   • Mastercard.

   Please note

   • Diners Club is not accepted.
   • No invoices will be issued.
     
     
2. Ring Workplace Health and Safety Queensland on 1300 369 915 and ask to be transferred to the Technology Services Unit to provide credit card details over the phone.
3. Cheques should be made payable to Department of Justice and Attorney-General and mailed to:

If mailing a cheque, reference should be made to:

• the applicant's name
• description of plant
• the model number (if possible).
