My plant design comes from overseas?

Workplace Health and Safety Queensland does accept published technical standards as well as Australian Standards for design registration. Certificates of examination or verification statements will only be accepted as supporting documentation for the information provided on the Form 14 - Application for registration of registrable plant design (PDF, 128 kB). The applicant will need to be based in Queensland for the registration to be processed.

A competent person (preferably a suitably qualified and experienced professional engineer e.g. a member of Engineers Australia or registered with the Board of Professional Engineers of Queensland) must complete the design verification statement on page 2 of the application form (Form 14). The design verifier must ensure all fields on the statement are completed.
