Changes to asbestos 'B' class certificates
Under the national model WHS laws these licences will be held by a business rather than an individual.
Removal of friable asbestos containing material
Work to remove any amount of friable asbestos must be done by an asbestos removalist that holds an 'A' class certificate for asbestos removal work issued from 1 January 2006.
Removal of bonded asbestos containing material
People at workplaces removing 10 square metres or more of bonded asbestos must hold a B class certificate (or bonded asbestos removal certificate).
