Information for Registered Training Organisations (RTO)
Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) or prospective RTOs wanting to deliver training in CPCCOHS1001A Work safely in the construction industry from the CPC08 Construction, Plumbing and Services Integrated Framework Training Package must undertake the following steps:
Step 1: Obtain a licence to deliver the course
RTOs are required to enter into an agreement with Workplace Health and Safety Queensland to deliver training in CPCCOHS1001A Work safely in the construction industry.

The application should
- be on the RTOs letterhead
- be signed by an authorised representative of the RTO and
- state if the RTO is authorised to deliver CPCCOHS1001A
The agreement addresses conditions on:
- RTO delivery (including online delivery)
- arrangements for supply of general induction cards to RTOs, and
- provide authority for compliance monitoring and sanctions for inadequate or inappropriate delivery.
Step 2: Approval to deliver course
Approval is received on the basis that as an organisation you have Scope of Registration as an RTO to deliver CPCCOHS1001A Work safely in the construction industry from the Department of Education and Training (DET).
Workplace Health and Safety Queensland will provide a signed version of the licence agreement and a letter of approval to the RTO once approved.

Step 3: Obtain numbered proforma induction cards from Workplace Health and Safety Queensland
Workplace Health and Safety Queensland will exclusively issue bulk copies of numbered general induction cards to RTOs on the condition that:
- RTOs provide evidence of current RTO status including Scope of Registration to deliver the unit.
- RTOs enter into a new agreement with Workplace Health and Safety Queensland to deliver CPCCOHS1001A.
Requests for bulk copies of general induction cards for issue to participants who successfully complete the induction course should be made in writing to:
