Complaint about a workplace health and safety issue
Workplace Health and Safety Queensland (WHSQ) is committed to the prevention of deaths, injuries and illness arising from work activities.
It is expected that constructive steps have been taken, where reasonably practicable, to have work health and safety issues resolved in the workplace before raising them with WHSQ.
These steps may include;
- complaint to a workplace health and safety committee
- discussion with a health and safety representative
- direct negotiation with management
- negotiation with management through union representatives.
How to make a complaint
Complaints can be made by completing the online form, or by contacting WHSQ on 1300 369 915.
Workplace Health and Safety Queensland has a Service Charter (PDF, 95 kB) which outlines the service response a person can expect when notifying of an incident or requesting WHSQ to respond to a work health and safety issue.
