Central Queensland Wide Bay launches first regional Zero Harm at Work Leadership Forum

Central Queensland Wide Bay is the first Queensland region to set up its own leadership forum under the Zero Harm at Work Leadership Forum program.

The forum will be announced on 30 October in Rockhampton in front of 200 industry, union and government representatives at a seminar to mark Safe Work Australia Week.

Seven major central Queensland organisations, employing thousands of local people between them, are expected to be announced as the forum’s first members.

The forum was set up by the Acting Regional Operations Manager for Central Queensland, Scott Campbell, the Senior WHS Coordinator Rockhampton Regional Council, Sean Peckover, and Corporate Health and Safety advisor Stanwell Corporation, Chris Shackleton.

The Zero Harm at Work Leadership Forum is about organisations:

The Zero Harm at Work Leadership Forum was launched state-wide by Premier Anna Bligh on 16 September 2009 but Rockhampton is the first region to set up a local version of the program to suit local needs.

The Zero Harm at Work Leadership Forum program is flexible and able to accommodate local issues and needs.

Also on 30 October 2009 Workplace Health and Safety Queensland Rockhampton office held a seminar, trade show and dinner to mark Safe Work Australia Week.
